This is a very open question - it all depends on how big is the zoo?
There are very small inner city zoos and extremely large open plain zoos.
Some have cages of monkeys/birds/snakes OR tanks of fish/seals/dolphins.
Others are more like museums with paintings and bones and the like.
All consisting of numerous species and subspecies of animals.
I'm sure any of your local zoos would be more than willing and proud to tell you
how many animals are in their zoo?!

∙ 10y agothere are a lot of animls in zoos and i think that they should be let go because the dont deserve to be there, and should be in the wild, but that could make them instinct. anyway there are 6,475,893,466 animals currently in zoos today (17 september 2013) but it will probably continue rising untill there are no more animals left in the wild. by the way i am avalible so call me 8552354. see you soon.
