Na is sodium

Po is Polonium

Na and Po can not form a compound.

You must mean

"Na3PO4" otherwise known as TRISODIUM PHOSPHATE.

This molecule is made up of

Sodium = Na (3 atoms)

Phosphorous = P (1 atom)

Oxygen = O (4 atoms)

Thus Na3PO4 contains 8 atoms in total.

Therefore 2 of these 2(Na3PO4) or 2Na3PO4 must have 16 atoms present.

Just count the subscripts next to the element symbols: Na has a subscript of 3, meaning 3 atoms of sodium are in the molecule. P has no subscript, which means that there is only one atom of phosphorous in the molecule. O has a subscript of 4, meaning there are four atoms of Oxygen in the molecule. Now just add up the subscripts.

If you want to know the total number of atoms in a moleof sodium phosphate (Na3PO4), then you just need to multiply Avagadro's number (6.022*1023) by the total number of atoms in a single molecule of the substance.

If there is no subscript, that's because it is literally needless to say that there is just one atom there; the symbol itself is enough.
