Can the male mouse be with the mom when she has her babies?

No, the male mouse will harm the babies if they are not old enough. I left my male mouse in the same cage when my female had babies, what I found was that she would only go near the babies when it was feeding time, other than that my male ( the father ) was the one to protect then when people put their hands in the cage and he would sit on them to keeo them warm it was so cute, also good for the babies as he is the size on a small rat. xXx LostNHopeless

Your mouse recently had babies and you separated the male from the female because he was trying to mate with her again the babies are now 6 days old and have fur is it ok to put the male back in?

It is fine to put the male back in only if you want another litter of babies! Be careful, because males usually get mad if you take them from their female, resulting in biting or scratching if you are not careful. Also try to remember when you took the male away, because one time I had a female mouse that had her babies overnight. We thought it was fine by taking the male out as soon as possible, but we found out 3 weeks later that she was indeed pregnant again when her babies came. If you are a mouse breeder, I do not incourage double breeding...as it usually results in death of the mother mouse. Why trust me? I have bred mice for about a year and a half now and researched them for much longer. I also have owned mice. -experienced mouse breeder and owner

Are mouse offspring always look like their parents and why?

Most of the time when two mice that look alike have babies, they will look almost identical. This doesn't mean all the time though. If a white mouse mates with a gray mouse you'd get babies of gray babies of white, or even both. But all of them won't look the sane as the other.
