Experts usually recommend about 5 or 6 months old for a first litter of babies. Many people say that guinea pigs can't have babies after 8 months old, but this is extreme. I would recommend breeding your guinea pig before one year old. After you have bred it once, provided it was young when you did so, you can breed it again, regardless of it's age.
Hope this helped,
Mother of 7 females guinea pigs, and has successfully bred 4 guinea pigs.
I'm not sure about 4 months but my friend had a guinea pig who had somewhere between 6 and 10 babies at 2 months
the guinea pig would be considered what we call a toddler, its still very young but has grown a enough to be considered a toddler.
Well, my guinea pig had 8 on her first liter. I think they usually have four or so babies a guinea pig has 2 to 6 babies in one litter.
When my female had her babies, a couple hours later i cleaned up the bloody bedding and that was it. I had cleaned out the cage when I anticipated she was in labor and a couple hours later she had the babies. Congrats on the new addition to your family.
if you want babies you put 2 girls in and 2 boys if you dont get four boys or four girls if you want babies you put 2 girls in and 2 boys if you dont get four boys or four girls
You shouldn't really breed a female guinea pig after the age of four or five, or you'll run a higher risk of her dying when she's giving birth.
They can have one to six, but there has been cases of eight babies. If it is the first time, which is what you asked, it will probably have in the range of 1-3 maybe four. You never know, until they are born. If you are planning to breed make sure your female is younger than ten months or she will have difficulty, but anyway good luck with it!
guinea-pigs are expected to produce between 1-6 babies per litter. Anywhere from 1-8 on average 3-4the average is 1-4 in a litter, but it can sometimes be as many as 7My guinea-pig had her second litter early this morning and both times she has had seven babies.Or up to eight, dependsAnswerFor a first birth they often only have one or two. But after that they can have anywhere from2 to 6. The most common number is two.Guinea pigs can have between 3 and 8 babies.A guinea pig can have up to 8 babies in one litter. Their average is 2 to 5.7guinea pigs can have 2 to 6 babies.
Guinea Pigs can have from 1-8 babies, the average is usually 3. It can be dangerous for the mom if they only have one baby because it will be very big and difficult to give birth to. Having four or more babies is dangerous for the babies because they are small and weak and the moms only have two teats to feed with! It is a good idea to breed guinea pigs in heards of females because the mom's will feed each other's babies and that way there is usually enough milk to go around.

Usually the case with four guinea pigs is that the oldest guinea pig will eat all the others. Beware.
The capital of Guinea is Conakry. It's the only capital of Guinea.
you can confirm that the guinea pig is pregnate by after four to five weeks she will become more plump and more rounder aroun the belly area, she will get heavier, and if you put her on your lap you can feel the babies moving around in her i know this because my mom is a vet
A litter of guinea pigs can range anywhere from one to six babies. Because of this large variation, I find it is helpful to breed two females at a time so that they can care for each other's young. Guinea pigs are very social creatures by nature, so keeping mutliple guinea pigs together is a good idea.
