A female gerbil paired with a male can have pups at six weeks of age, so at 10 weeks she can give birth. The pair will mate right after birth and she will be pregnant while raising her litter. A female will breed until around 2 years of age, most likely she will become infertile (breeding all the time is NOT good for her health). So she can have up to 24 litters of 3-6 or even 8 pups. Please don't try and breed gerbils without research first. http://www.egerbil.com, http://www.gerbilcare.com, http://www.agsgerbils.org
A female gerbils can have between one and ten babies but the average litter is about four or five.
I think the record is 16 but only 15 made it. That was/is very rare though, the usual amount is 4-9 though any amount under ten is not uncommon.
You really can't tell. The recommened amount is 3 or 4. But, the female will let the male know when she's done. I would call a pet store and ask.
my teacher had some and her litters ussaly consist of 10 or 12.
Only 1 because girbils are very small and they also have small bellys too.
3-7 pups.
Yes you have to separate the male gerbil from the female with her babies because if you leave the male with the female and her babies the male will kill them.
