How many baggage is allowed?

It depends on multiple factors:

1. The airline you are travelling (Southwest does not charge for 2 checked and carry on)
2. On most airlines if you are travelling First Class or Business, you will not be charged for up to 3 items
3. Elite/Medallion status. Airlines give much more generous allowances to their Frequent Fliers with "Elite" status
4. Credit cards: Many airlines have an associated credit card. If you use that it gives enhanced luggage allowances.
5. The country of origin: Some countries airlines do not charge for luggage.
