If you wish to feed your betta once daily, i'd suggest feeding 5-7 bloodworms, as they arent overly active, so feeding them too much may cause constipation or make them fat, and with their delicate fins it will be harder for the fish to swim.

If you wish to feed more than once a day, say 2-3 pieces twice daily or 1-2 worms 3-4 times daily.

Minimal amounts of most foods will keep betta's tummy full, with a lower risk or constipation or unnecessary weight gain. Also remember to keep the betta's food selection diverse.

Remember: A betta's stomach is tiny!

How much food do you need top give to a Siamese fighting fish?

It varies, but keep in mind that bettas' stomachs are about the size of their eyeballs. I feed mine 3 pellets a day in the morning, all at the same time. I knew another person who fed hers 1 pellet every other day. Some feed theirs more than once, like a few in the morning, then feed again at night. If you don't use pellets, probably 2 bloodworms are enough and 1 whole other shrimp or daphnia is fine. They're a lot bigger than a betta's eye. Flakes are equal to pellets. If you feed them peas at all, you should take a tiny piece of the inside of the pea at a time.

What do you feed a Siamese fighting fish?

Betta Fish are carnivores and should not be fed veggies. They should eat pellets made specifically for them. (I use Betta Bites). Also never feed them flakes! Their upturned mouths make it hard to eat them. Also onece in a while you can treed them to freeze-dried blood worms!
