The Clique books were created and written by Lisi Harrison. Lisi Harrison used to create shows for MTV as her job. Her co-workers wanted her to dress like them, all trendy and expensive. So she wrote the 1st 2 books about a group of girls called The Pretty Commitee, rich, spoiled, bratty girls. Claire Lyons is a girl that moves into Massie's guesthouse until her family can afford a place of their own. In Massie's words, she is a 'fashion don't even think about it'. She tries and tries to fit in, but Massie and her friends Alicia Rivera, Dylan Marvil, and Kristen Gregory, otherwise known as the Pretty Commitee, try to "kill" her reputation, and basically destroy her. Girls around the world LOVED the books, so Lisi wrote more. All this writing evolved into an 18 book series including a prequel, a dictionary of phrases and words used by the characters, and a Summer Collection. They are the most interesting books ever, and they will get you hooked.
