Moses is traditionally credited with writing the first five books of The Bible - Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy. However biblical scholars say that none of these books was really written by Moses. They were all written during the first millennium BCE by various authors.

Where can you get facts about Moses?

AnswerThe story of Moses is to be found in the books of Exodus, Numbers, Leviticus and Deuteronomy. However, if you are after verifiable facts about Moses, there is nothing outside the Bible. There is no extrabiblical mention of Moses or of the events with which he is associated in the Bible, and no archaeological evidence for either Moses or those events. In fact, many scholars doubt whether Moses really existed or the events really occurred.

What role did Moses play with the early Hebrew people?

A:Moses is the lead character in four of the five books of the Pentateuch (the Books of Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy). He is described as leading the Israelites out of slavery in Egypt and as receiving the Ten Commandments from God, who also gave him many other religious and dietary lwas to follow. Moses is also traditionally credited with actually writing the Pentateuch. However, most scholars say that the books were actually written by several authors, many centuries after the time attributed to Moses.
