It depends on the weight and breed of the dog.

While your dog is around 12-18months you should still be feeding it either puppy food or young adult dog food.

Most dog food bags have a recommended serve on the back of the pack.

Beware of cheap dog food brands though.

Quite often you need to feed your dog more food if you buy a cheap brand than if you buy a more expensive brand.

For example if I buy cheap dog food from the supermarket, I have to feed my dog 3 cups of food. If I buy an expensive brand I only need to feed her 2 cups.

This is because the cheap brands have a lot of 'filler' in their food that is not very useful to your dog (and it makes them poo more!).

I would recommend Eukanuba dry food. It's not too expensive and good for your dog.
