4 boxes for a single pan
Approximately 2 cups.
you might be able to, but it depends on how thick or thin your cake mix is
It will probably take 1-1/2 boxes. Fill the pan roughly half full & use the rest for cupcakes.
You can figure it out exactly by filling a 9 in cake pan with water and then putting in the cake pan you think might be it (do this 3 times). I'm guessing a deep 9x13 pan. A cake mix usually makes 2 9in cakes, or one 9x13. Hope this is helpful

There are 11 cups of batter in an 11x15 pan for a 2 inch layer. I would guess for an 11x13, maybe 10 cups?

You will need about 1.5 boxed cake mixes, so it is best to prepare 2. Some tall cake pans will require 2 full cake mixes, too.
In a 12" x 17" pan? Don't do it, that will overflow. You can barely bake two boxes per sheet, it's nearly too much. As for the timing for two boxes, it's about 35-45 minutes at 325-350 degrees.
One cake mix will produce a perfect large cake in regular angel food pan.
Do you mean a cake mix? If so, you need to butter the pan, and then flour the pan. After you remove the excess flour, then you can put the cake mix in the pan.

The boxes I checked said one box would make a 13x9, so you will need about 1 1/2 boxes for a 12x18. Assuming the pan is deep enough you could use two boxes for a one layer 12x18 or you may want to make a two layer cake using 1 1/2 box per layer.
Yes. It is one of the recommended ways to make cake pops. The results are consistent. Many professional cake poppers use cake mix as their base.
