I work from a really simple formula that works for running or walking:
one calorie per kilogram of bodyweight per km or "calories = kg per km"
I know it is not exact but is close enough to work out dietary requirements MOST of the time. Example:
90kg person walks 10 km burns 900 Calories. One still needs to add in the basal metabolic rate of "calories = kg per hour". So that in the above example, in one day a 90kg person runs (or walks) 10km their total calorie for the day equals:
90 kg x 24hours = 2160 PLUS 90 kg x 10km = 900 =>3060 Calories.
I dont know about walking a football field but to run it you burn 3060 calories
around 50
100
You would burn about 200 calories by walking for 60 minutes. About how many calories would you burn if you walk for 15 minutes
A potato chip has 10 calories and the average person burns 120 calories walking a mile. So you would need to walk 1.5 football fields to burn off one chip.
50 calories
The amount of calories burned per kilometer depends upon a person's weight and the speed they are walking or jogging. For walking, 80 calories and for running around 110 calories. These values would vary, for an individual calculation see the related links.
I would say about meters but they are measured in yards.so maybe if I'm not right,try going to a football game and maybe you can find out.thanks! You must be talking about international football, not American football. American football field is measured in yards. International football field is measured in meters.
There is no one-fit-all answer in relation to the number of calories burned. It depends upon your age, your weight, your degree of cardiovascular fitness, your body composition, and whether you are walking on flat ground or an incline (as well as how far you are walking and how fast you are walking).
It depends on your speed & your weight. If you walk at a distance of 1.4 ft per second brisk pace or 4.2 km/hr, you would burn about 218 calories in 24 minutes or 354 calories by walking a total of 1 km. Good luck in your exercise.
No that would either be baseball or soccer.
an Obisometer
This entirely depends on the pace at which you are walking, and what condition your body is in. Someone who is very fit, and very trim, will not burn 72 calories as quickly as someone who is not very fit or trim when walking at the same speed.Lets say you were to walk at 3mph, which is about an average walking pace for many people. Based on your average weight, and walking at a speed of 3 miles an hour, you will burn calories at the following rate:130 to 140 pounds - 3.5 calories burned per minute145 to 155 pounds - 4.0 calories burned per minute160 to 170 pounds - 4.5 calories burned per minute175 to185 pounds - 5.0 calories burned per minute190 to 200 pounds - 5.5 calories burned per minuteSo if you were to weigh 150lbs, it would take 18 minutes of walking. 18 minutes multiplied by 4 calories a minute equals 72 calories burned. Give or take.
