Three. It happened it the street about 2 mile from where I live. It was chaos man. Gridlock all over. Zero fatalities, so I suppose there is a little good news in it.

I live in the San Joaquin Valley in CA and we get fog. On a foggy day it isn't impossible to have a 100 + car pile up on the freeway. This often happens because people drive too fast in the fog, without lights on, and if someone stops wham so does everyone else. Yes, people die in this mess.


There has been a report of a 259-car pileup on July 19th, 2008, in Hamelerwald,Germany. Among the dozens injured, 10 were said to be in critical condition.


In March 2005, 300 cars were involved in a pileup, killing 3 and injuring 60.
