I don't know how many cats are abused, but I do know that the number is just way too many. They are treated poorly when they shouldn't. They are just like humans just smaller and they can't tell you when they are upset or hurt like we can. People need to start caring for them. Cats, like all other animals, deserve respect and the right to a happy, healthy life.

If you are able you should get up right now and go adopt one. It is so easy. Go to your local shelter into the cat area and examine them. When you find one you like you can take it out into the side room and play with it. After you have falling in love with it you go fill oput the papers for adoption. I think people should start adopting cats more instead of kittens. I mean yeah kittens are cute, but they are not the ones being euthenized each year, the older cats are. So if you have the strength to walk past the kittens and not stop to pet and brag then go to the shelter and get your soul mate.
