"Woods Runner" by Gary Paulsen has a total of 34 chapters. Each chapter provides a detailed account of the protagonist's journey and experiences during the American Revolutionary War. The chapters are structured in a way that builds suspense and keeps the reader engaged throughout the book.
In the Awakening there is 16 chapters. Not counting the Struggle because they sorta put them together. Which by the way also has 16 chapters.
If you enjoy reading the book after you have read through the first few chapters then you will know if you like it or not. read the back or judge it by the title. Another way is to google the book.
Walk This Way: The Autobiography of Aerosmith

It's not that bad of a book. The first few chapters are BORING. But it gets WAY better towards the end. There is sex, death, lust, and almost everything else in this book. It's not that bad of a read.
Stories often have periods of time pass where nothing significant or exciting happens. Starting a new chapter is an excellent way for time to pass without writing about the boring, irrelevant events. Also, readers very rarely read a book in one sitting; so Chapters are an excellent way to know when to stop reading for the night. They are also a nice way to remember where you are in a book. Chapter 23 is much easier to remember than page 428. Some authors use chapters to foreshadow (give hints about what's coming) by giving their chapters titles- or by having quotes at the top of the page. In short, Chapters are more convenient in a book and allow the authors more artistic freedom and the ability to pass over boring passages without writing the generic "12 Hours Later..." I hope this was helpful.
In chapters 23-33 of "Walk Two Moons," Sal continues her journey with her grandparents to find her mother. Sal also begins to piece together the truth about her mother's disappearance and how it relates to her own life.
