One original OS only for one computer
As of around 2010 or 2011 Apple no longer installed dial up modems in their computers.
Below is an excerpt from Microsoft on Office 2007, which I would assume is a similar policy to what would've been used on 2003. "Microsoft Office Home and Student 2007 Retail License Terms allow for installation on three devices. OEM License Terms limit the installation to the device on which the software was pre-installed. Read the Microsoft Software License Terms (MSLT) for the 2007 Microsoft Office system."
There will not be a PC operating system to be released in 2010 by Microsoft. Microsoft has their hands full with Windows 7. Its life span will most likely be the length of Windows XP.
Most laptops do not have Microsoft Office pre-installed on them. Some do, however, come with offer a free 90 day trial of Office, which can be purchased at a discount later.
