There are 1366 pins, got to this link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LGA_1366.
the i7 920 has 2.67 GHZ with 4 cores and 8 threads, and the i7 940 has 2.93 GHZ with 4 cores and 8 threads. both can be overclocked easily. but if you are not planning on overclocking, the i7 940 is faster.
In the intel range there are a few different models that have four cores. The older CPU is the 'core 2 quad' and the newer ones are core i5 and core i7. Core i7 even can have 6 cores.
the i7 is better the i7 have 4 physical cores and 2 threads per core the core 2 quad have 4 physical cores and 1 thread per core. the i7 also have a technology called turbo boost to boost the performnce of single core apps
Of course Core i7 860. It's 4-cores, 8-threads processor while Core 2 Duo is only 2-cores, 2-threads. Moreover i7 860 got 8mb of Intel smart cache memory.
The Intel Pentium D, Core Duos (and Solos), Core 2 Duos (and Quads), Pentium Dual-Cores, and the Core i7.
As many cores and threads that the processor has. The new Intel i7 will shows as 8 cores and Vista can use them all.
Well both of these are good proceesors. But the i7 has 8 cores unlike the quad which has 4. So if you have money I would prefer the Intel i7.
It depends really. If you're looking for a fast but more budget-friendly CPU, the i5 is better. But it lacks some features that the i7 has. Nevertheless, it is still a good, fast CPU. The i7, on the other hand, currently reigns as king and its prices reflect that. The Intel core i5 and i7 features both hyper threading technology helping it do multitasking and can boost the ghz up to a higher ghz. But the difference between the i5 and i7 is that i5 has two cores and i7 has 4 cores.
I am not sure but i think the intel core i7 uses Hyper Threading to make it look like it has 8 processing cores
For Intel chips this will be almost any Core I5 and I7(with the ones ending with 3 numbers and X being Hexacores, the rest are just Quad cores), for AMD that would be the Chips with "X3 (3 physical cores)/X4(4 cores)/X6(6 cores) in the name.
The Intel i7 has3.06 GHz and 2.93 GHz core speedsFour processing threads4 MB of Intel® Smart CacheTwo channels of DDR3 1333 MHz memory
depends on the type the i3 has 2 cores (and 2 virtual ones because of hyperthreading)the i5 has 4 cores the i7 has 4 cores(+4 virtual ones)
