Airman Leadership School (ALS) previously earned an individual credit towards his/her CCAF however, that option is no longer available. To obtain oral communication credit, one must enroll through a local university and participate in the course available. An additional option is to CLEP an oral communication course which involves a tape recording of a 3-5mintue speech based on a random subject. The tape will be submitted for grading and credit towards one's CCAF will be applied accordingly.
If you have already completed ALS, you do not have to re-attend. Additionally, you will retain all credit for attending. You get 10 college credits for doing so as long as you graduate. The credits can not be taken away and are recorded on your CCAF transcript.
Yes, the CCAF is an accredited school. It is equivalent to any degree from any other accredited school.

Yes, but it can be done and depends on a lot of things outside of your control. Your AFSC and promotion rates being a couple of things I am talking about. Also without a CCAF in your primary job and SNCOA you stand no chance....none! In order to have a legit chance of making it your first time, you had better have awesome records for the last 10 years, with Major Awards, and firewall 5 EPR's. Your latest EPR needs to be SRE if eligable. If you just started to try an make Senior after making Master, you stand no chance at all. The last thing that you have in your control is your test. The average test score is in the low 60's, so if you can score in the mis to high 80's that will make up for some time in grade/service points.
