a Bengal tiger has 2-4 at a time
The female tiger is capable of having up to seven cubs in a liter. Newborn cubs weigh between one and a half to three pounds. Once their eyes open their vision isn't good for a couple of months. She can produce a litter every two years. She can have another litter right away whenever a litter dies. Since tigers hunt alone a mother tiger usually only has two cubs to survive. Tiger cubs born in zoos survive better because food is provided. Baby's are born after fourteen to fifteen weeks gestation. The mother is forced to leave them alone for periods of time in order to hunt. The cubs begin to eat meat at around two years of age. The father doesn't help bring up the cubs in any way. Tiger cubs are not ready to hunt on their own until they reach the age of two.
3-4 cubs are born in a typical litter in one birthing. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tigers
