55% of the time, one cub is born. 45% of the time, twins are born. However, any given panda mamma can only care for one cub at a time, meaning only one will ever survive out of a given litter.

Females can give birth from 5.5-6.5 years of age, and males can impregnate females from 6-7 years of age.

Mother pandas have at least 1 or 2 babies at once.

Pandas generally have a single cub. Sometimes they give birth to two, but only one survives,

A female panda normally gives birth to one cub, but has a 45% chance of delivering twins. However, a panda can only support one infant at any given time, meaning, even if twins are born, one will invariably die.

A panda can only have one panda at-a-time.

Mating occurs in spring, with litters of one to three cubs born in late summer to early fall. Despite the size of the litter, the mother commonly only rears one of her cubs.

When a panda gives birth, there is only one baby and occasionally two.

They have one cub at a time.

IF they have 2 and ONLY if, they abandon one. If they abandon one the abanded one would probably be the weaker one.

because
pandas can have much more babies than you are thinking but it can only reach ten because he cant live a lot so he can die ! but.... some people say that a panda can live over 100 years! but i dont belive it!!?

They rarely ever have more that two cubs at a time.

When they do have twins, they usually choose the strongest cub to take care of.

The other cub is left to die.

This is done because the mother is too weak to take care of both.

But there are a few cases in which she takes care of both.

In Wolong, if a panda gives birth to twins, they rotate the cubs back and forth.

Pretty tiring!

55% of the time a panda will have a single cub and 45% they will have twins. However, the female can usually produce only enough milk for one cub so the weaker of the twins is left to die.

Panda bears are solitary, so they don't interact with other pandas often (excluding mothers and their cubs, before the cubs are grown). They primarily eat bamboo. Being one of the largest animals in their habitat, they probably don't have many predators.
