Impossible to answer without defining "dry"
I did a test to see what results I would get... I measured out 1-1/4 cups in a dry measuring cup, boiled it and got 1-1/2 cups in the same cup. I also used the same dry measurment 1-1/4 cup in a liquid measuring cup and got 1-1/4. I believe the answer would be 1-1/2 cup of dry noodles will be 2 cups of cooked noodles if u use the same dry measurment after u cook it.
Correct answer is 7.5 -8 cups. Read the package serving info and serving size. In a 12 oz package of dry egg noodles it reads there are about 6 servings of 1.25 c. which is 7.5 cups. throw it in a large measuring cup and it's closer to 8 cups. 1c=8oz in liquid measure. Not dry egg noodles or many other dry ingredients. Most recipes list their ingredients by volume not weight. 8 oz of milk is not the same as 8 oz of marshmallows.
