Pentecost is 50 days after Passover. So if you take the time between Passover when Jesus was crucified and the resurrection which is stated as three days later you come up with 47 days. I am sure I will get an argument on this but..................
Another Answer:
Without arguing, days in the Jewish custom of Jesus' day were counted from sunset to sunset and not midnight to midnight as is our tradition. Jesus was crucified on the Tuesday, Passover - the daylight portion and was buried before sunset or the start of Wednesday, the beginning of the Feast of Unleavened Bread - a High Annual Sabbath. He remained in the tomb the nights of Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Also in the tomb the days of Thursday, Friday and Saturday Resurrection (King of the Sabbath) - rising exactly 72 hours after His burial - just before sunset and the beginning of the 1st day of the week - Sunday when He was seen in the darkness hours of the early morning before the sun rose. He ascended to the Father on Sunday, the Wave Sheath offering of this Holy Week as was the tradition - representing the first harvest of mankind.
So 50 days from His Resurrection on Saturday would be Pentecost Sunday or 7 weeks and 1 day from the Saturday Resurrection). The math works exactly.

Pentecost was fifty days after passover and Jesus ascended forty days after the resurrection. I believe the answer is pentecost occurred one week after the ascension.
Easter Sunday celebrates the Resurrection of Jesus. The Celebration of Easter begins on "Good Friday" which commemorates the Crucifixion of Jesus on the Cross. The Day of Pentecost or "Pentecostal Sunday" is celebrated 50 days after the resurrection of Jesus (or Easter Sunday) Each year, Pentecost Sunday comes 50 days after Easter Sunday, hence its name. The Greek word for 50 is pentecost. The beginning of Pentecost is recorded in Acts 2:1-2.
Today, many Bible students point to the 1st Pentecost after the Resurrection on Sunday (50 days after the Saturday resurrection) 17 June 31 AD.

Many biblical students put the official start of spreading the good news of the Kingdom of God to 17 June 31 AD, Pentecost Sunday and 50 days after the Resurrection of Jesus Christ.
The resurrection refers to Jesus Christ rising from the dead three days after his crucifixion, demonstrating his victory over sin and death. Pentecost, on the other hand, commemorates the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the apostles, empowering them to spread the message of Christianity.
It was 50 days, because Jesus was crucified on the Passover and Pentecost is 50 days after that. This is important because the Jewish feast of Pentecost included the offering of two loaves of unleavened bread representing the first fruits of the harvest (see Lev. 23:17-20 , Deut. 16:9-10), Jesus is the First Fruit of the Harvest, and Pentecost in the Christian Church is also the anniversary of the coming of the Holy Spirit (see Acts 2).

The Bible says it was on Pentecost Sunday 50 days after Christ's resurrection on Saturday. Many biblical students suggest this date to be June 17, 31 AD.
