Private school has uniforms, public does not. I went to private school from kindergarten all the way through 7th grade. I then switched to public school for 8th grade. I am now in 9th grade (public school). The work load in 6th and 7th grade was very hard. I was doing homework daily for at least three hours a day. There were tons of electives that were mandatory such as music, art, spanish, computers... that we had to take them all. I kind of miss having all those extra classes though. Public school is way easier compared to private. Private schools all vary though. Private school though is great to keep you away from sex, drugs, and curse words. I appreciate going to a school where those things are never mentioned, or seen.

In the United States students attend school 180 days per year. From kindergarten to 12th grade is 13 years. 180 days per year times 13 years in school = 2,340 days in school, about 19,000 hours or so (if they are in school 8 hours, some schools are more and some are less). The total number of days in school is 2,340 between 0-18 years old. In that same time period, you have 6,570 days in total, so about 35% of that would be spent in school.
