You may notice that there is an overlap between Catherine of Aragon and Anne Boleyn - Henry never really considered he was married to Catherine as she never produced a living male offspring and so Henry felt he was free to marry Anne; as the Pope rejected Henry's request for an annulment he separated England from the Roman Catholic church, set up the Church of England with Thomas Cranmer as its Archbishop (and himself as head), and a few months later the Archbishop annulled the marriage to Catherine.
