We have a horse here that will do as many as he can get his hands on witch was 2 then we have another mare that just went into heat he hasn't reacted yet so my guess is as many as he figure he can get.
Stallions can mate with any number of mares, unless they're gelded (the horse version of spaying/neutering). Mares can have any number of foals. In rare cases (even rarer in the wild), they can even have twins.
This is a problem that many people seem to encounter, and simply don't know.
Mares in heat should only be bred when they are fully receptive. The best way to tell is the telltale winking and tail flagging. She will likely also squat for a stallion. If she resists his advances, she's not ready. Don't force the issue. Tying or ropes should not be necessary.
No, physically it is not possible for a woman to mate with a stallion. Humans and horses are of different species and their reproductive systems are not compatible for interbreeding.
Horses do not mate in any weird fashion. Simply, they mate as is physically possible. Each species has it's own way of physically copulating. Humans are able to do so in a variety of ways, but horses generally do not have that type of flexability. In short, a horse could ask, "Why do humans mate weird?" It's not weird, it's just different.
Horses and mules mate to produce mules or hinnies. Dog and coyotes mate to produce coydogs.
no, no horses do
no but humans can make horses mate with the same patner all there life
They can, but usually not. Horses will mostly only mate once the mare is in heat.

Horses mate for the same reason that all other animals including humans mate. It is to create offspring and keep a particular species alive. Horses are breed typically to sell or use for show.

No they don't. They mate between the ages of 20 to 25.
