I am sorry to say but over 50,000 homless dogs, cats, horses, and lovley birds have died due to starvation.

This is way off the mark. It is more like way in the millions. In fact, estimates vary from 10 to 27 million dogs and cats alone. Around 25 million enter shelters each year. More than half of these are euthanized. This is not counting those that are never found and those that never enter shelters. Those that roam the streets aimless, helpless and unloved.
In my neighborhood alone, I have learned that over 50 dogs have died of Parvo because of the fact that it's contagious and ignorant people don't do anything to prevent it. THESE ARE PETS THAT ARE SUPPOSED TO HAVE A so called HOME. It is not about vaccines either. There are many holistic and natural methods of preventing diseases in your pets. People are lazy and stupid and they don't deserve to own animals. Changing some laws would dramatically help to improve this situation. The laws are not strict enough. The only way anything will be done about it is when it becomes a serious danger and health hazard to the humans that caused it in the first place (which by the way is already beginning to surface). But by the time anything is done, it will b
Most of the blame should be placed on puppy mills. Why would people want to breed dogs when there are so many that already need homes. Then there are the IDIOTS that claim they can't afford to spay or neuter when in fact they have low cost and even FREE services almost everywhere in the U.S. Besides, if you can't afford these expenses than you have no business owning a dog. DO you think that it's OK to have a pet just because you want one? You need to educate yourself not only in choosing a pet but also as to what the cost of having one is. It's a responsibility and a serious one.
There are so many problems in this nation, but these are lives we're talking about. Why is it that it's so insignificant to the majority of people in this country? What makes people think that it's just OK. It sucks!
About 15,000 dogs and cats are living in shelters across the US.
around 43000
Probably too many. That's a good reason to spay or neuter your cats or dogs.
I'd say alot more than 100,000 homeless. :(
There are at least 10,000,000 homeless cats/kittens.
there are about 9,00000 homeless cats out in the world
4 dogs and 3 cats
It is estimated that there are more domestic cats in the world than dogs, with a population of over 94 million cats compared to around 89 million dogs. However, this varies by region and is subject to change due to factors like breeding practices and cultural preferences.
