There are dozens within the general region, but most are too small to be felt.

There have been several over the centuries in areas of England, and large quakes (over 3.0 on the Richter scale) about once every 50 to 100 years. The last two with epicenters in London were a month apart, on February 8 and March 8, 1750.

The latest actual tremors felt in London were from the Dudley quake of September 22, 2002 and the Lincolnshire quake of February 27, 2008.

Why hasn't a tsunami ever hit the US?

A tsunami has never hit the US because we don't get too many Earthquakes. The earthquakes trigger the water deep inside.. then everything comes flowing up, and gets bigger and bigger. Then, the ocean's mass becomes too much which causes it to overflow, and that's when the ocean comes flowing out to land.. we do live near big masses of water, but we don't get too many earthquakes.

How many earthquakes were there in 2013 in the US?

There were over 1,600 earthquakes in the continental US in 2013 with magnitude 2.5 and greater not including Alaska and Hawaii. For 2000 - 2012 the average number of measured earthquakes per year was 3,822.The total count is much higher because many go undetected because they hit remote areas or have very small magnitudes. To see a list of more recent (or historic) earthquakes, visit the USGS Earthquake Hazards Program.

Which countries don't have earthquakes?

only countries lining the borders of the crust's plates will experience earthquakes. And since these plates are so big, they cover many countries and the ones in the middle experience earthquakes the least.
