7 earthquakes, one earthquake about every 20 years
Too many to list. Even in the UK there will be around 100 very minor earthquakes every day!
The earth's tectonic plates are moving all the time, and places that have a lot of earthquakes are on fault lines, basically when many earthquakes are common the plates shift at this faults a lot because they are the easiest way to relieve pressure. anyway theres nothing to worry about for several hundred years. :)
The list of earthquakes by year (1990-Present) or by country can be found at the USGS Earthquake Hazards website. In 2001 there was one earthquake magnitude 8 or greater, which was in Peru (M 8.4). The USGS provides a list of significant earthquakes for 2001 as well as a worldwide map of earthquakes for 2001 and previous years. See link below

We get them all the time, but feel very few. I can count on one hand the real strong quakes we have had in the last few years.
The answer depends on the magnitude of the earthquake. Over the last 20 years there have been approx 4 million earthquakes annually which is equivalent to an average of 8 every minute. Earthquakes of magnitude 7 or greater occur, on average, 0.00003 times a minute.

Most parts of the world have small earthquakes every few days, small enough not to be noticed by people in general, only by instruments. Britain is fortunate that it generally has few earthquakes that cause damage, unlike places such as Pakistan and California that have had devastating earthquakes during the last 100 years or so.
