Most ducks lay between 8 and 12 eggs in one clutch. Sometimes less and sometimes more. Some may lay 2 clutches a year in the warmer parts of the world so the anwser is quite variable.

once clutch then she'll look after it for about 8-10 weeks after that she might try to hatch another clutch but thats rare
Mallard ducks will lay and sit on about 8-15 eggs per year If you are collecting the eggs, ducks will lay over 100 eggs each year.
This varies from one breed to another and duck to duck, for example a White Pekin can lay between 100 to 180 eggs per year. Next example, a Khaki Campbell lays 200 to 300 eggs per year!( "A Guide to Better Hatching",Janet Stromberg author)
The only mammals that produce eggs are duck-billed platypus and Echidnas and they appear to produce 2 each year.
Khaki Campbell ducks lay up to 340 eggs a year.
That happened to me last year. I bought an incubator and was able to hatch the eggs. Those same ducklings are now laying this year. As they lay, I gather the eggs and incubate. So, far we have 3 ducklings and about 6 in the incubator.
Thousand-Year-Old Eggs
Duck eggs, which are then named "Thousand-Year-Old Eggs".
Depends on the Duck... I have been raising ducks for egg production for almost 30 years. We now raise a hybrid for egg production called the White Golden Layer or White Layer. There is also a Golden 300 which is similar. These duck's lay approximately 250 -300 eggs per year. They will lay eggs in full production for about ten years sometimes more sometimes less. In contrast some wild species will lay just a few per year.
Not sure what an average duck is? I guess it depends on the total ducks your are dealing with to get an average... LOL Depends on the Duck...
