If your Lexile score is 1230 that means you are reading at a college grade level. In sixth grade I took it and got a 1250. :) I'm in eighth grade now, and I have a score of 1350. I've never really read much, but you should be considered lucky because i've seen many eighth graders with scores lower than that.

I have found 5th grad worksheets at middleschoolsheets dot com. They have many items for teachers and specific lesson plans for all middle school classes.
It depends on the grade level, many elementary school teachers do use free worksheets but higher grade teachers make their own. They do this so the students can have a better understanding of different type of problem or even because the books are to big and heavy to always carry around.
