The number of electrons depend on the principal quantum number. For n=1 the maximum number of allowed electrons is 2. And the values are 8 and 18 for n=2 and n=3 respectively. When n>3, the maximum electrons allowed in the shell is 32.
It depends on the what shell you are talking about. s orbitals have 2 electrons with opposite spin. p orbitals can hold 6 electrons in 3 subshells that look like dumbbells. d orbitals can hold 10 electrons in 5 subshells, 4 of which look like clovers and one that looks like a dumbbell with a donut circling the node. f orbitals can hold 14 electrons in 7 subshells that are much harder to describe.
Different shells can hold different no. of atoms.
K shell-2 electrons
L shell-8 electrons
M shell-18 electrons
It increases according to the formula 2n*n where n is the position of the shell.
K shell is the first shell Then comes L M N etc.
For eg. K shell
2*1*1=2
L shell
2*2*2=8
M shell
2*3*3=18
I think you got it

1st shell - 2 electrons
2nd shell - 8 electrons
3rd shell - 18 electrons
and so on
2 in the first then 8 then 8 again then how every many is left
the first shell hods 2 the second shell holds 8 the third shell holds 8 the forth shell holds 16
if u look at the table it is however many are in the horizontal row
Its always 8.
Sulfur has six electrons in its third electron shell.
Electrons in the outermost energy shell (valence shell) have the most energy.
Eight electrons fit in the second shell.
There are 8 of them.
the O major shell can hold 1 electron
The overall of an atom is a nucleus (protons and neutrons), and 1 or 2 electrons. The rest are for large atoms: an electron shell, electrons, an electron shell, electrons, an electron shell, electrons, an electron shell, electrons, an electron shell, electrons, an electron shell, electrons, an electron shell, electrons.
Sulfur has six electrons in its third electron shell.
Electrons in the outermost energy shell (valence shell) have the most energy.
Eight electrons fit in the second shell.
Iron has 26 electrons in total. the first electron shell has 2 electrons, the second electron shell has 8 electrons, the third electron shell has 14 electrons and the final shell of iron(Fe) has 2 electrons.
The electron configuration of helium is 1s2; two electrons on the first (and the single) electron shell.
Sodium is in the third group in the periodic table. It meens that sodium has three shell. First shell - 2 electrons, second shell - 8 electrons, third shell (outer energy level) - 1 electron.
they have 28 electrons and 14 electron shell. could you answer this what song is this from Gangnam Style Never do SEX! It is WRONG!
Maximum 32 electrons.
4V V-Valence Electrons Valence Electrons-Last electron (which is on the outer shell)
There are 8 of them.
Beryllium has 2 electron shells.
