what kind of engine do you have these numbers on it 557265
What numbers are you talking about? It will tell you the displacement and a engine code. The engine code is used at dealers and garages.
the numbers are the CC (Cubic Centimeters) of the engine rounded off.
Worn out but a new one having the same issues on my 76
Depends on vehicle and engine. Cylinder 1 is located closest to front of engine (where serpentine belt is). That side of the engine are the odd numbers.
There are different numbers of bolts on different oil pans. Depends on what engine you are referring to.
Numbers on the motor of trucks and other vehicles are identification numbers for the engine block casting. These numbers identify the batch of production the engine block comes from and can be used in recalls.
look at the number on the frame, it is either stamped into the side close to the engine, or it is on the frame under the handlebars If the engine was replaced as mine was then the numbers on the frame will not tell you if you have a later or earlier model engine.
The numbers stamped in front of the head are the engine id numbers.
