When farmers products were declined, esp by Europeans. Farmers suffered to sell their stuffs; they couldn't afford their mortgages, and the BAnks took their farms, houses, and Lands.... Many farmers families aLSo met the big problem; men felt ashamed after they lost their jobs, and left their families behind. Children often looking for jobs to help their families as well as women.

Because there's not enough money in farming any more to maintain a medium sized farm. Most folks are relying on off-farm jobs, and many more are simply interested in farming as just a hobby. Hobby farmers typically only need a small farm. Corporate farms, however, own huge farms. The much larger farms (+++1000 acres) are those that are able to bring in enough income for the owner[s], much more than a small hobby farm or a medium sized traditional family farm.

Actually you'll find the farmers that hadn't mechanized there farms or if their farms were relatively small, they suffered a terrible hardship because of many reasons like the fact that some over produced things so the prices went down and they got paid less. So many had to sell their farms to pay off debts or the like.
As many as they could possibly hold without causing problems, the farmers do wish to optimize their profit.
Many of the farmers I know don't have what they would call "political goals". They simply want big government to stop interfering in how their farms are run.
