First of all, all felons are not killers. I am a convicted felon, and I have never so much as gotten into a heated argument in many years. A bank robber is a felon. Some politically famous people are felons (roughly 70% of the US Congress). Some of my best friends are felons. But, to answer your question very few people, especially those convicted of homicide, have escaped from jail, and for the ones who don't get life, they receive sentences of at least 15 years--more likely 25-40--so, the last thing on their minds is killing someone else. The tv shows that propigate these myths are just stories written in an office somewhere
