Depends entirely on what the MPG is of the vehicle you are driving. If you know the MPG of the vehicle you are driving on this trip simply divide that figure into 400. Example: Vehicle gets 27 MPH. 27 divided into 400 which equals 14.81. So, as you can see it will take almost 15 gallons to drive that vehicle 400 miles.
