if there is a 1000MB in a 1GB really there is 1024MB but you round it to 1000MB you have 5GB or really 4.89GB

edit: actually there is EXACTLY 1000MB in 1GB, if it was 1024 it would be mebi instead of mega and gibi instead of giga.

Edit: actually if you were to go to Google and look up how many megabytes are in a gigabyte it shows a calculator that says exactly "1 Gigabyte=1024 Megabytes"

In 1 GB that is 1 gigabytes there are 1024 MB that is 1024 megabytes. So, 511 MB is approximately .5 GB
