The newest released PS3s have 320 GB and 160 GB replacing the 120 GB and 250 GB slim models
naah. get at least a 250gb one.
at the time of this post they cost $299.99 US. Dollar
There are many places you may be able to purchase an 80GB PS3. Gamestop and EB games sell used game consoles and may sell used 80GB PS3s you can purchase. Also Ebay.com and Amazon.com may have listings of used 80GB PS3s that you would be able to bid for or purchase. Also craigslist may have listings of people selling 80GB PS3s in your area.
Sure they are used and many cost near as much or more than the new 250 GB PS3, but 1st and mainly second generation PS3s can be found. It's even possible to find early vendor/ developers PS3s from before the official release in November 2006. Gamespot offers a preowned refurbished 20GB model that they will sell for 299.99 and a 60 GB model from the 1st or 2nd Generation for 349.99
PS3s come with a single Dual Shock 3 controller except the 320 GB + Move Bundle model that also includes a single Move Controller
Yes some PS1 titles can be played in all PS3s
hi it's worked but not with all ps3s it's just workes with (ps3 60 gb) and some times on ps3 80 gb
40GB, 80GB, or 160GB PS3s can not play PS2 games. NO MATTER WHAT. Do not listen to anyone that says they can play them. None of the PS3 slim models with 120 GB 160 GB 250 GB & 320 GB can play any of the PS2 games and Sony says that "If a PlayStation 3 is not backward compatible, you will not be able to add this function through any hardware (i.e., changing the hard disk drive) or software (i.e., updates, homebrew) upgrades or modifications. On the other hand, 20GB and 60GB PS3s can play many of them. Some PS3 80 GB models with 4 USB ports will play some PS2 titles, but less than the First models.
All GB PS3 play all PS3 games. The new PS3 move will require older PS3 to get the latest updates as will the 3D games
PS3s with 4 USB ports or models CECHB 20 GB CECHA 60 GB CECHE 80 GB No other models will play the games see related link
originally only the premium version (80gb) was going to have backwards compatibility but that was changed just before launch so none of the ps3 models will run ps2 games not even the new ps3 slim The 80 GB was not the first. The first PS3s which had 4 USB ports and 20 GB or 60 GB could play PS2 games or at least most titles. Then some other models with 60GB and 80 GB also with 4 USB ports came out and could still play many PS2 titles, but not as many as the first model. It was the 40 GB and August 2008 80 GB models that were the first to not play PS2 games and they both also have only 2 USB ports. Everything with 2 USB ports does not play PS2 games
