The religion of Persia or Iran is Islam before that it was Zoroastrianism there was only one god Ahura Mazda, the one Uncreated Creator to whom all worship was ultimately directed.
Persia did not have a monotheistic religion. Zoroastrianism had two gods - Ahura Mazda and his adversary Aura Mainyu.
Zoroastrianism has one true god - Ahura Mazda ("Wise Lord"). It also has Angra Mainyu, or Ahriman, the equivalent to the Christian Satan. It has seven Amesha Spenta, who are lesser beings considered equivalent to the seven postexilic Judaic archangels. The most important of these lesser beings, Mithra, was adopted by the Roman Empire as a god in his own right, Mithras.

false. Zoroasterism is a monotheistic religion that has one God: Ahura Mazda who is the "Lord of Wisdom or Light." They do, however, believe in an evil force or a satan if you will, called Angra Mainyu.

Zoroastrianism was different from most other ancient religions because it was a form of monotheism, centered around the worship of a single god, Ahura Mazda. Unlike polytheistic religions that worshipped multiple gods and deities, Zoroastrianism emphasized the duality of good and evil, with a clear moral framework guiding followers. This focus on ethical choice and the battle between light and darkness set it apart from many contemporaneous belief systems. Additionally, Zoroastrianism introduced concepts such as judgment after death and the eventual triumph of good, influencing later religious traditions.
