Depends entirely on what the material is
Well lets go off of a family of 4. I figured in a worse case scenario to survive you would need to have 2 cups of rice per meal. 2 Cups rice uncooked = 4 cups rice cooked. Giving each person 1 cup of cooked rice. 6 Cups uncooked rice a day provides 3 meals of one cup of rice a day per person. So for 6 months you would need 1,080 cups of rice.
There are right at about 2 1/2 cups of uncooked rice in a one pound bag. Perhaps a teaspoon more, but the difference isn't worth mentioning for kitchen work. And don't go asking if that's long grain, short grain, wild, brown, Arborio or anything else. Two and one half cups per pound of uncooked rice. Take it to the kitchen and it will work out every time. Bon Appétit!
That depends on how big the bag is, as well as how full it is and how large each grain of rice is. However, most people don't spend all their time counting how many grains of rice are in each bag, so it will be hard to find out.
When measuring sugar, 1 cup is regarded as 128 grams so there are 7.8 cups to 1 kilogram. You won't go far wrong to use 8 cups to 1 kilogram as a simpler conversion.
That is 8 cups
This is a confused question. A cup is a measurement of volume where a gram is a measurement of weight.
16 cups
24 cups
That is 7.375 cups.
