When cooking how many grams are in a pint?
1 pint = 2 cups (16 fluid ounces) Grams are used for measuring the weight of dry mass, which you don't commonly do when cooking since everything is measured in cups and teaspoons in the United States. Grams, however, are the common unit in measuring ingredients in all European and Asian cuisines. But, assuming that you are measuring water, the density of water is 1 gm per 1 cc (or 1 mL). One pint has 473.18 mL in it, so 1 pint would equal 473.18 grams. Different liquids have different densities as compared to water, so this must be taken into account.
