A half step is the difference between one not including accidentals. So going up a half step would be from an F to F# or B to C.
A whole step is two half steps. So going up a whole step would be from an F to G or B to C#.
If you imagine all the keys on a piano, black and white; a half step is the difference between adjacent keys on the piano and a whole step would have one key in the middle.
A half step is a given note being only 1 semitone away from the last (imagine frets on a guitar-- each fret is only 1 semitone from each other in pitch)
a whole step means that it is two pitches away in relation to a previous note. ie..two fret distance on a guitar. (B to a C)
so, half step would be from A to A# (in an ascending fashion) or, C to B (in descending fashion) Flats and sharps=a half step.
a whole step would be A to B (ascending) or, F to E flat (descending)
A whole step sensibly is two half steps. One half step is going from one key to the very next one dirrectly next to it(including black keys)
Any one key to the key directly next to it (on either side).
2 half steps equals 1 whole step
Two half notes equal one whole notes.
1 dotted half note = 3 beats 1 dotted whole note = 6 beats so 6/3 = 2 2 dotted whole notes equals a dotted half note
An odd number of half notes cannot be replaced by a whole note, unless the half notes are part of a triplet. There are 2 half notes in a whole note, and 4 in 2 whole notes. Three half notes can be represented by 1 whole note and 1 half note. This is only true if the half notes are slurred together in the first place.
it equals a quarter note because 2 sixteenth notes equal an eight note so 4 sixteenth notes would equal a quarter note.
Two Half notes. Four Quarter Notes.
2 Half steps
Four half steps, or two whole steps.
It's the same as a minor 3rd, so it has three half steps, or one whole step and one half step

16 sixteenths equal one whole. So 16/2 = 8 sixteenths = half a whole.
16 sixteenths equal one whole. So 16/2 = 8 sixteenths = half a whole.
Going from b-flat and e-flat is equal to a perfect fourth interval, which is five semitones (or "half-steps").
When counted in half steps, B lies between these two notes. It implies that the interval has two half steps. Hence the interval between B flat and C is one whole step, one tone.
