I depends on where you are in New York. In Yonkers, it's 22 , half a credit or 1 full credit per class. However in the Bronx, being a completely different district, classes could be counted like college credits, meaning 1-4 credits per class. I'm not sure how many you are supposed to end up with in the Bronx though.
