More important than the mileage is how well the car was serviced and maintained. Neglect, can destroy a car in less than 100k miles. But on the other hand tender loving care can make a car with over 100k be a fine buy. If the car appears to have been taken care of and your mechanic has looked it over and given the green light, then make an offer. Of course there are no guarantee's with any used car.
