A banker usually works 6 to 7 hours but often the load of work being heavy, intricate and of high responsibility they work for more number of hours. It actually depends on the type of transactions taken place during the day which determines the load on a particular counter/table or desk. There are many documents which must be dealt with on or within a particular date. Say treasury bills which have specific dates by when they must be realized. For example checks deposited for collection or cash deposited for remittance must be done on the same very done. Omissions or errors on some type of transactions attract legal action and in some cases penalty by Central Bank .
