It has a half-life of 36 hours, which is much longer than a lot of drugs. You could safely estimate it would last 3 days at the least, and up to a week at the longest. Depending on what your dose was and how long you took it.

Can you takE Ativan and suboxone in the same day?

Yes, you can take suboxone and ativan together. Suboxone does not block the effects of ativan. However, taking too much ativan with suboxone, could cause respiratory failure. So, to be safe, stick to the prescribed dosages of both medications.

I need To take oxycodone for a tooth problem how long do you need to be off suboxone for the oxycodone to work?

the half life of suboxone is 36 hours. So 72 hours would eliminate the suboxone from you entirely. But depending on your dose you could have oxycodone work sooner. Example if your mu receptors are not filled (2mg suboxone or below). But all in all you will have to wait a full two days before the oxycodone will work to your satisfaction, to my expierence.

Does suboxone work for anti dep?

No, Suboxone does not work as an anti-depressant.

How many hours can you go from your last dose of hydrocodone to your first dose of suboxone?

Zero, but it won't work. You need at bare minimum 24 hours to clean your system. Best to wait 48 hours for an 8mg Suboxone to do its job; which is to relieve withdrawal symptoms and cravings. Drink lots of water to clean your system as the derivative is water-soluble.

What happens if you take Oxycontin while going through suboxone withdrawals?

No, you will not go into withdrawls, however, it would be a waste of Diluadid since Suboxone is an opiod-blocker and keeps you from getting high off of any opiate. But if you were taking Dilaudid and then immediately began taking Suboxone, THAT would cause you to go into withdrawls.

How long does it take for painkillers to work after stopping suboxone I have a chronic painful disease and I am stopping the suboxone cold turkey tonight I have been on it for about a year and a half?

Because of the nature of Buprenorphine, it is not a good idea to take it with other opiate pain medicine, because it blocks as well as stimulates different opiate receptors and can reduce their effects. Suboxone, one brand of Buprenorphine, is formulated with Naloxone (Narcan). It is a very powerful opiate "blocker" BUT in this case is only added to the formulation to prevent IV use of the drug, as the Naloxone is destroyed by stomach acids. Keeping all this in mind as soon as the opiate receptors are sufficiently clear of the Suboxone, other narcotic pain meds can be used to control your pain. How fast this happens depends on your Suboxone dosage as well how long you were on it, but after 48 hours you should start seeing an improvement in the effectiveness of your pain medication. This of course depends on what drug you are now prescribed, and if you were taking the Suboxone for pain control or opiate dependency maintenance. I didnt take my dose last night so its been way over 24 hours since my last dose do you think theres any way the pain medication if I take a higher dose will work? I am just in agony? Thankyou.

Can i take suboxone 8 hours after taking oxycodone?

That depends on whether you are taking the morphine recreationally (to get high), or if you are taking it for pain. If you are taking it to get high, then no, it won't work. You will have to wait at least 36 hours, but probably more like 48 to 72 hours, until the Suboxone is out of your system, before you can feel the effects of the morphine. If you are taking it for pain, then yes, it should still work as a painkiller, even though it won't get you high.

How long should I wait to take a Suboxone after taking 7 days of Vicodins?

I guess it would be okay for you to take a vicodin after 48 hours of you not taking any suboxone. Suboxone has a long half life and that means it stays in your system for a long period of time. First of all, why would you want to only be on suboxone for a week? suboxone doesn't work in a week. And if it does work for you in a week then why would you want to touch a vicodin again??
