Hi on average Id say 8 that's the recommend amount for adults. But id say it applys to teens aswell, just aslong as you wake up feeling refreshed drink water and you go to bed at a good time you cant go wrong.
This will vary by person and can depend on how many hours of sleep you get each night. If you average approximately 7 hours of sleep per night, you can expect to sleep 22 years. If you average 8 hours of sleep per night, you can expect to sleep about 25 years. It is accurate to assume that you will have spent about a third of your life sleeping.
Ages 13-18 need about 8 to 10 hours of sleep. Adults between 25 and 64 years of age need an average of 7 to 9 hours of sleep per night. Adults 65 and older need 7 to 8 hours per night.
It is recommended that preteens should get at least 8 hours of sleep every night. It would even be better if it could be 9-10 hours. This can be a bit lower in the teen years. But, even adults, and so everyone, should get at least 8 hours throughout their lifetime.
Adults need 6 to 8 hours of sleep.
10 hours
someone who is 11 years of age should get 9.6 hours of sleep every night to stay healthy to prepare for becoming a teen nine to ten hours
Depends on the age of the child. New Born to 3 years old should get 12-18 hours of sleep 3 Year to 5 year olds should get 11-13 hours of sleep 5 year to 12 year old should get 10 -12 hours of sleep 12- 18 year olds should get 8.5 -10 hours of sleep 18 and up should get 7.5 - 9 hours of sleep
minimum of 8 hours of sleep for adults, but for kids they should be sleeping 9 to 12 hours.*Scientists have now stated that every person is different in the amount of sleep their body requires. The amount of sleep needed for each person is different. Children under 18 usually need more sleep, up to 10 hours a night. Adults should get between 7-8 hours per night be fully rested for optimum health.New Born to 3 years old should get 12-18 hours of sleep3 Year to 5 year olds should get 11-13 hours of sleep5 year to 12 year old should get 10 -12 hours of sleep12- 18 year olds should get 8.5 -10 hours of sleep18 and up should get 7.5 - 9 hours of sleep

Too much sleep is definitely bad for you, it makes you gain weight. And you are also missing out on meals, and when you get up your going to just want to eat, it wont be in different portions. I recommend 8-10 hours of sleep every night. However, if we sleep 7 hours a day, that can also be bad for us. I sleep 9 hours every night, and I have woke up healthy for the past 29 years. Just sleep for 8-10 hours every night, and everything will be just right :)
You should sleep eight hours each day for your body may go through all the sleep phases (necessaries for good health). Six hours of slep will keep you reasonably fine. Less than six hours each day will show in your general health and aging. A nap after lunch helps if it is no longer that 45 minutes, after that your body starts the night-time processes and will not be good at that hour of the day. Best nap lengths are 5 minutes, 20 minutes, 30 minutes and 45 minutes, all fit with times taken by the body to start and finish sleeping phases.
It depends on how long you stay up like if you went to bed early the night before you might sleep 11 hrs. If you stay up late like 10:00 PM you'll sleep only like 7-8 hrs( if your a light sleeper)
