It is between the head assembly and the engine block. You have to take off the top part of the engine to get to it. it is really time consuming to replace.
You can change a head gasket if that is all that is wrong.
This depends on the make model and year of the car
When it's worn out!
Replace every 60,000 miles. need picture diagram of 2.3 4cyl ford ranger 93 timing belt diagram
No, simply check the bolt threads for an hour glass shape. If it has this THEN replace bolts
The manual says inspect the timing belt at 120,000 miles but I would replace it then.
Replacing a head gasket on a 1.5 liter Honda Civic requires removal of many of the engines components such as the intake manifold, valve cover, and timing belt. After removing the head from the engine it needs to be resurfaced. Replace the old head gasket and machined head onto the block and reinstall all the other components.
NOT AN EASY JOB get a manual on your car from DISCOUNTAUTOREPAIRMANUALS.COM. It has pictures .
get yourself a chilton or a haynes manual. it should explain it all
the library should have a shop manual for this vehicle, you can make copies of the right sections :)
I was just quoted 5.5 hours labor to R&R the intake gasket on my 1998 GMC Sierra 5.7 Liter.
