Today there is only one species of Human, however, at one time there were several, including Neanderthal, Homosapien, Sapien, and a few others. Only the homosapiens survived to the modern world.
One... but there are many sub-species aprx. 7 billion people on this earth and we are all different in some way
Only one.
I believe that not to be true though. Species is defined as a new type of creature that is able to breed. These traits occur due to evolution and mutations which make it more adapted to its environment. It is widely said that humans: Homo sapiens are the only species of Human. However if mutations lead to a new "species" that has different characteristics to that of its predecessor then surely there are multiple species of human. For example Eurasian people and Inuit people are noticeably different. Both are adapted to there environment and both are able to breed. It is the same with African and Asian people. They are noticeably different, and differently adapted to there environments. It is comparable to Darwin's Finches. All are finches but are in different locations and have different characteristics. They are different species. We are undoubtedly animals so surely there are multiple species of Human.
