Any study of this subject needs to be closely examined. One "study" included people up to the age of 26, and included deaths such as shot by a person defending themselves when attacked by the deceased. The US Center for Disease Control conducted a study in 1994 of 26 countries, including the US. This study addressed children as being age 15 and younger. In all countries combined, there were 957 deaths of children related to firearms. 55% were murder, 20% suicide, and 22% accidents. A small percentage was "unknown". There is a lot of difference between 957 and 18,775.
