*EDIT BY AUTHOR* I'm a beginner and I'm getting 5 guppies. So should I get 1 male and 4 females or 2 males and 3 females?? I don't mind if I have a lot of babies, I'm giving them to good homes anyway.
Short answer. Dont get five. Long Answer: You should always have 2 or three females to males. So I would recommend getting six. Do you know how to raise and birth fry? Or how to take care of them? These are important questions if you are getting different genders. Best of luck to you.
always keep twice as many females as males. If you don't, when the female gets pregnant, the male may chase her to breed again, stressing her out and may cause death.
No. If you exclude the length of the tail (caudal) fin in some male guppys, under normal circumstances, female guppys grow to around double the size of male guppys
usually yes but not at the same time obviously.
no
Bettas will eat baby guppys as will most other fish, but in general, male Bettas will only fight with other male Bettas. They do not fight with other species of fish

England has exactly 200,000 male and females.
guppys are tropical fish. they require a heater, and 1 gallon is to small for a heater
about 2 or 3
That is false. Male animals in most species attract females as the male does not carry babies, so it can be polygamous, as in many birds. But in several more species as well, females attract many mates to ensure her pregnancy with her urine, like cats and dogs and giraffes.
The male lions have a mane while the females don't. The females usually do the hunting. Plus the lucky lion can get many mates!
The answer depends on how many of females and how many non-females are in the room. The question provides no information on these and therefore there can be no sensible answer.
